Wherever we go, there are always three people in our relationship: me, my gorgeous Bertje and her big love Karl!

Johan, You Legend!

A couple of days ago I saw two little boys playing football on the street. They were tiny and they weren't very good. Suddenly the ball went shooting towards a man, who returned it with stunning accuracy. It was football legend, Johan Cruyff. While the kids' parents were being photographed with him, I saw him looking longingly at the abandonned ball. For Cruyff, the footie always comes first!

Agnes Dei

Talking Heads

Last week, I photographed a performance of Alan Bennett's legendary "Talking Heads" monologues, which was given by the Queen's English Theatre Company at Amsterdam's English Bookshop. Here, actress Polly Perkins is getting into her role as an obsessively nosy neighbour.
